This year we will be honoring Jacqui Wallace and the Amherst Gospel Choir with the Jean Haggerty Award for Community Engagement & Social Justice.  Opening Remarks from Linda Ziegengein, UMass Amherst Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategic Outreach & Engagement. Featuring Keynote speaker Celia Johnston Blue, President & CEO of Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition.  The event will include dinner, our year in review, dancing with DJ Don, cash bar, and performances.

All of the profits will go to Amherst Media and assist our organization in our mission to raise the voices of the Amherst community.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Amherst Media Raise Your Voice Gala on Saturday, December 14th from 5:30 pm to 10 pm at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Student Union Ballroom where we will present beloved community leader Jacqueline Wallace and The Amherst Area Gospel Choir with the 2024 Jean Haggerty Award for Community Engagement and Social Justice.

At 48 years strong, Amherst Media is the longest serving local community access media organization in the country bringing public, educational and Amherst government happenings straight into your living room.
